Marmol Radziner + AssociatesLeo Marmol and Ron Radziner founded their Santa Monica–based practice in 1989. Since that time they have completed a number of commercial, community, and residential projects, such as the San Francisco offices of advertising agency TBWA/Chiat/Day; The Accelerated School, a chartered public educational facility in Los Angeles; and the restoration of the Kaufmann Desert House in Palm Springs, California, a modernist masterpiece designed by Richard Neutra. Their practice includes both architecture and construction, ensuring that the final result matches their original design. In 2005 they created Marmol Radziner Prefab in order to build steel-framed modular houses that embrace the modernist ethos of true indoor-outdoor living. Marmol Radziner + Associates has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards. Their work has been widely published and was recently the subject of the exhibition Under Construction: The Architecture of Marmol Radziner + Associates at the University Art Museum, California State University at Long Beach. Leo Marmol received his bachelor’s degree in architecture from California Polytechnic State University. Ron Radziner received his master of architecture degree from the University of Colorado and a bachelor’s degree in science at California Polytechnic State University. http://www.marmol-radziner.com/ Audio File |
